About Me
Hi, I'm Elena Sipes! I am a level designer, gameplay programmer, and marketer who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies at the University of Texas at Austin, with a minor in Professional Sales and Business Development. My interdisciplinary background in technology, business, and the fine arts allows me to approach creative projects with both analytical and artistic perspectives, allowing me to build engaging mechanics and unforgettable immersive experiences.
Outside of development, I am the President of Longhorn Splatoon, where I lead event planning and marketing initiatives to foster love for both casual and competitive gaming at UT Austin. Additionally, I work as a Student Programs Assistant with UT Austin’s University Unions where I oversee inventory item lending and usage to support the running of hundreds of student-run, campus-wide events.
My Mission
With every experience I create, my goal is to immerse players in worlds that spark introspection, excitement, and connection. Each project is an opportunity to refine my craft—building upon past lessons to create richer, more impactful gameplay. As someone who has loved games in every capacity—as a player, spectator, event organizer, and now developer—I am driven to forge unforgettable experiences that leave resounding impressions, just as so many have for me.
